Alexandra Hills State High School โรงเรียนตั่งอยู่ชานเมืองติดชายทะเล ใกล้ ๆ บริเวณโรงเรียนมีสวนสาธารณะมีทางเดินชมธรรมชาติ และหมีโคอาล่า และตัวตุ่นปากเป็ดอาศัยอยู่ตามธรรมชาติ  ทั้งยังมีกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรอีกมากมายให้นักเรียนได้เลือกสรรกว่า 40 วิชาเลือก โรงเรียนมีชื่อเสียง และโดดเด่นเทคโนโลยีหุ่นยนต์ ห้องปฏิบัติการ, อุปกรณ์สื่อการสอนที่ทันสมัย โดยคุณภาพกับประสบการณ์การสอนของคณาจารย์ช่วยสนับสนุนองค์ความรู้นักเรียนในการวางแผนอาชีพทรัพยากรธรณีวิทยา อีกทั้งทางโรงเรียนยังเป็นสมาชิกองค์กร The Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA).
